About Us

It all started with a man selling shirts and shoes out of a covered wagon in 1924—the beginning of a business because one enterprising soul took a chance.

For 90 years, our company, headquartered in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania, has stayed in the hands of only two families. The man with the covered wagon turned the business over to his son, who had it until 1957 when he sold it to my father, who had it until 1984 when I took over. Over the years—through the Depression, a World War, the oil and steel booms and their declines—sons have followed fathers and "stayed with the times" without losing the legacy: offering quality merchandise with small-town service.

12 years ago, I launched this website because it was clear that larger men were not able to find a wide enough selection in the clothes they wanted to wear. At Big & Tall Guys, you can find major brand names—Russell Athletic, Carhartt, Wrangler, Lee, Levis—plus a wide variety of selection and price. We want to be sure a big or tall man can buy a pair of casual pants or shirt for under $50.

This year we celebrate the 12th anniversary of our online store. Ove the past 12 years, we've listened to your feedback and have redesigned the website in order to provide you with a better shopping experience. You can now track past orders, view clearer product pictures, see your BAT Club discount applied immediately in the shopping cart, and navigate the site with greater ease.

We're happy with these improvements and additions, and we hope you will be too. If you have any questions about our merchandise, you can contact us toll-free by phone or via email and receive help from a friendly person who can check inventory and pull the product in questions right off the shelf, if need be, and give you the kind of knowledgeable, kind assistance that you deserve.

I'm grateful for the customer feedback that has enabled us to keep improving, and I look forward to continuing the legacy of providing you with the best possible merchandise and customer care.
